Been celebrating with the domestic workers in California lately, National Domestic Workers Alliance & CA Domestic Workers Coalition! Feeling hopeful that Governor Brown’s signature will bring us to victory, 75 years after domestic workers were excluded from the Fair Labor Standards Act and 40 years after California declared caretaking for people to be less deserving of labor protections than caring for property.

Great article on how those standing with #DomesticWorkers today are carrying on Martin Luther King’s legacy.  Right now, we need calls to Governor Jerry Brown to ask him to work with CA Domestic Workers to achieve a Domestic Worker Bill of Rights!
